A recap of what the team at One Future Collective has been up to, in the past month.

4 April: We conducted a workshop at St. Stephens, Delhi on Anti-Sexual Harassment Laws and Gender Sensitisation. Our team also joined the Women March for Change Rally, in Kurla, Mumbai.

5 April: We were Outreach Partners for I Inspire 2019, organised by BD Foundation in Gurgaon.

6 – 12 April: We participated at a week-long programme during International Civil Society Week, organised by CIVICUS and Civic Initiatives in Belgrade, Serbia. At the programme, our founder and CEO, Vandita Morarka, co-facilitated a session on 6 April on Youth Leadership: Organising for Scale. She also co-facilitated a session on 11 April on Diversity and Inclusion. We were a participant at the Youth Assembly by CIVICUS and Civic Initiatives in Novi Sad, Serbia.

12 April: Our COO, Jerin Jacob, was one of the panelists and speakers at the panel discussion hosted by the None in Three Research Centre on Identifying Gender Bias in Classrooms and its Links with Gender Based Violence. The discussion took place at the Indian School of Design and Innovation, Mumbai.

17 April: The Sanskaari Girls Book Club — One Future Collective’s very own book club —  conducted a fun (and feminist) quiz night at Doolally Taproom in Mumbai. The turnout was great and friendships were forged. To know more about the book club, click here.

20 April – 5 May: Sanskaari Girls Book Club meetings were held across cities, where we discussed Do You Remember Kunan Poshpora? by Essar Batool, Ifrah Butt, Samreena Mushtaq, Munaza Rashid, and Natasha Rather. Follow us for more details and updates.

28 April: One Future Collective, represented by Jerin Jacob, participated in the Lean In meeting at Mumbai.

Well, that’s a wrap for April. We look forward to our next month of activity and learning. Here’s our schedule for the month of May — we would love to meet you!

Note: the Families and Mental Health course had to be shifted from 19-20 April to 24-25 May because of the Lok Sabha elections. We are still accepting registrations. Here is a link to sign up: bit.ly/ofcfamiliesmh
