Feminist organisations often have limited opportunities for cross Organisational collaboration. We are bringing together feminist civil society organisations from urban India to foster collective strategising, solidarity and action to further feminist demands within social justice and human rights agendas.
Fat people face harassment and discrimination while accessing public spaces, both by other people using these spaces and through the design of the public spaces. This hinders access to rest, joy and leisure for fat people, amongst restricting their access to the city itself. We are organising champions in Mumbai to demand accessible public spaces for fat people.
Civil society workers are facing immense burnout and exhaustion. We need stakeholders to focus on well-being and commit to doing more and better for their workers. Our civil society wellness protocol provides a set of principles for organisations to commit to and be held accountable against.
