Salwa Mansuri is a second year undergraduate student pursuing Politics and International Relations at University College London. Recently, she was selected by the Institute of Economics and Peace as a Peace Ambassador for her work with Re(foryou)gees, an organization that economically empowers refugees especially refugee women. In June 2019, she served as a MY WORLD 2030 Asia-Pacific Youth Advocate on Sustainable Development by the United Nations Development Program. From 2016-2019, she also served as an Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation where she interacted with students from various cultural backgrounds to understand how education and peace are related and whether literacy is an effective tool to spread awareness about justice. Currently, she also serves as the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Undergraduate Student Representative which allows her to fathom these concepts on a more personal, experiential level.
